Commercial Case Manager (Buy-to-Let Mortgages)
Location: Office-based Liverpool Street
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Case Manager to join our growing Commercial team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing Buy-to-Let (BTL) mortgage applications from submission through to completion, ensuring each case progresses smoothly and efficiently in line with company policy, credit requirements, and regulatory standards.
This is a key role within our lending operation, acting as the central point of contact between brokers, underwriters, and other stakeholders to deliver a first-class service and ensure timely, high-quality outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a pipeline of commercial Buy-to-Let mortgage applications from initial submission through to completion.
- Liaise with brokers, Business Development Managers (BDMs), surveyors, solicitors, and internal underwriting teams to ensure cases are processed efficiently and accurately.
- Review submitted documentation to confirm completeness and adherence to lending criteria.
- Coordinate property valuations and legal work, ensuring requirements are met within agreed timescales.
- Monitor and manage case progress, proactively identifying and resolving potential delays or issues.
- Support underwriters by gathering and verifying information needed for credit assessment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed case records in line with company and regulatory standards.
- Provide regular updates to brokers and internal teams, ensuring clear communication throughout the process.
- Uphold high service standards and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a case management or mortgage processing role within the financial services or property lending sector.
- Strong understanding of the Buy-to-Let or commercial mortgage market.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data handling.
- Proficient in using CRM or case management systems.
- Positive, solution-focused attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
